Charity Café in aid of Syrian conflict
getting high off robaxin – July 9, 2016
On Saturday the 9th of July Shinfield Baptist Church hosted a charity café to help raise money in support of follow Tearfund, a Christian charity who are working to support those suffering in the Syrian conflict as well as those in the Middle East.
‘The war in Syria has caused an estimated 250,000 deaths and 5 million Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries as refugees. There are many daily bombings in Syria including the infliction of horrific human rights violations.’
Church members came along to support us as well very generously baking or donating a wide range of delicious cakes or biscuits for the event. Cold and warm refreshments were also being served by our volunteers.
We welcomed those from our local Shinfield community who joined us outside for the sunny event. A very enjoyable time was had by all!
