Community Involvement
The church is here to serve the community. Please contact us with any requests where we might be able to help. Our minister will always consider requests for prayer, marriages, funerals, blessing of children and adult baptism
Shinfield Baptist Church also has various mission links within both the local and global communities:
Arcade www.arcadeuk.org is a reading based charity run by two of our members which teaches alcohol and drug education in schools in Berkshire.
Freedom in Christ Ministries www.ficm.org.uk started in the United Kingdom at SBC in 1999 and has since grown throughout the country.
Able Active Friends host a monthly meeting at SBC
SBC is also part of Reading Christian Network www.reading-christian-network.com and affiliated to the Southern Counties Baptist Association www.scba.org.uk
SBC have supported the building of an orphanage in Eastern India and are continuing to help with the ongoing support of orphans
SBC also support a Christian holiday centre on the Danube Delta in Eastern Romania as well as work in the surrounding villages. Sunlightcamp.wordpress.com
