A Mother’s Day for All
 

How do you make Mother’s Day inclusive, reflective, worshipful and fun all at the same time? We’re not quite sure but that’s what seemed to happen this Mother’s Day at Shinfield Baptist. A fabulous breakfast was laid out by the men and young people of the church who served all the ladies. Sallyann (our Associate Pastor) then led a deeply encouraging service which included three ladies sharing what God meant to them. Not all of them were Mums and came from different backgrounds and experiences. Sallyann reminded us of God’s care for each of us, reminding us that God ‘comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us'.
