New Building

If you are a Shinfield resident you will no doubt have passed our buildings many times and probably wondered if they are still being used.  Well the answer to that is yes – but they are no longer sufficient for our needs.  They are too small (we now meet at Alder Grove School on Sunday mornings) and are very dilapidated.  We want to replace the bungalow with a new building that will be more attractive and provide attractive and useful space, whilst retaining the original chapel building.
 
We have been granted pre-planning approval for our plans to demolish the bungalow and replace it with a large hall.  The original chapel will be refurbished, giving us two multi-functional spaces for our own use, and for use by the community.  We intend to apply for full planning in the very near future.

The build cost is estimated at around £1 million. Over £100,000 has been raised by the church over this past year.
